Lesson Outline
We will continue preparing for the mock interview.
We will focus on the STAR technique - including examples, tips and an opportunity for you to practise applying the STAR technique / receiving feedback.
We will recap the skills needed to succeed at interview, including relevant language, vocabulary and industry specific knowledge.

From competency based to technical, the UK has a range of different interview types.

We will work through examples and practise using the STAR technique.

We will review the cultural differences to be aware of when attending a UK interview, including the main areas of focus.
Lesson Objectives:
By the end of this lesson, we hope you will:
Feel more comfortable in applying the STAR technique.
Have developed an example answer to a competency based interview question.
Feel more confident when attending an interview.

Date and Time: Saturday 18th May, 11.30am-1.30pm
Optional Assessment
Each week, we offer an optional additional marked assignment, to help you develop your skills further.
This week, we will have a selection of interview questions for you to choose from - including interview questions specific to your industry.
The task will be to plan out an answer to 2-3 of these interview questions, using the STAR approach (Situation, Task, Achievement, Result). Your teacher will mark this and provide feedback, focusing on language (grammar, fluency), industry specific language and how effectively you have sold your skills.
